The Royal Lymington Challenge Cup

The Challenge Cup is a three-boat interclub regatta for IRC yachts run at the Royal Lymington Yacht Club. The event was planned for 2011 but despite a huge effort, we have not been able to secure entries from challenging Clubs.  Therefore it is with much regret that we have decided to cancel this year’s event.

This unique event attracted eight teams in 2009 and was proclaimed as:

"A great event with excellent race management"
and is again attracting great interest. There will be racing from Friday to Sunday with 2 days in Christchurch Bay and 1 day in the western Solent.
The overlapping rating bands have been tweaked to allow more boats to compete.

Class 3 0.950 – 0.995
Class 2 0.985 – 1.035
Class 1 1.025 – 1.080

The Challenge Cup does not have a restriction on ISAF Sailor Classification codes.
