Kevin Podger - Club Secretary

The Secretary is responsible for the overall management of the Club.
Kevin Podger took the helm as Club Secretary on April 14th 2008 on his retirement from the Royal Navy. He is a marine engineer by profession and has served as Head of the Nuclear Propulsion Project Electrical Department; responsible for the electrical and propulsion systems of all Royal Navy nuclear submarines.  An active RS 400 dinghy racer, Kevin is also a Yachtmaster Offshore, dinghy instructor and Club Racing coach.  A old hand at Yacht Club politics, Kevin has held the post of Rear Commodore Dinghies RNSA and Youth Co-ordinator at Chew Valley Lake Sailing Club. He is married to Lindsay and they have two grown up children at University.

     

Kerry Priday - Accounts Manager

Kerry joined the Club in April 2007. She has always worked in an accounts environment and has passed various accounting exams in her own time. She has furthered her accounting qualifications whilst at the Club by successfully passing the AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) Intermediate Level in June 2008. Kerry works closely with the Rear Commodore Finance, to produce all of the Club's financial reports for the various committees. She is also available to any Member should they have any questions regarding their Club account.

     

Nicola Smith - Administrator

Nicola takes care of the day to day running of the office. In order to offer members a service during the weekends, her normal working hours are 09.00hrs - 17.00hrs Friday to Tuesday.

   

Karen Blachford - Membership Secretary

Karen has been with the Club for many years and is now our Membership Secretary working part time.  If you would like more information on the joining process or assistance with a Membership Application then please contact Karen.

Karen is normally in the office on Monday, Thursday & Friday.

   

Kirsty Timmis

Kirsty is a new graduate in Events Management and did her University work placement year at the Yacht Club. She has now joined the Club team full time. Her working week is dictated by the requirements of sailing events and therefore varies week-on-week.

Sophie House

Sophie has joined the administration team as a trainee, having started working for the Club upstairs in the bar and restaurant. She normally works 09.00hrs - 17.00hrs Monday to Friday but this does vary in the summer due to events.
