Junior Division

The Royal Lymington Junior Division has for many years been a very strong and important section of the Club.  We welcome the children of our full Members and have a separate category of Junior Membership to enable children to join in their own right.  For an annual subscription no more than the cost of a buoyancy aid you can become part of one of the countries most successful Clubs and gain access to world class training, coaching and racing.  The Club has access to excellent sailing area in the western Solent and the Juniors often utilise the the river and the adjacent lakes when a bit of shelter is required.  It is no surprise that many of the Club's 17 Olympians started sailing in the Royal Lymington Juniors.

Wednesday Junior Sailing

Wednesday Junior Sailing supported by Lymington Yacht Haven is a Community Sailing Project that runs every Wednesday afternoon from April through to the end of September. It has two sessions from 2.00 - 4.00 and 4.00 - 6.00 which are open to local children between the ages of 8 and 18. It is run by volunteers and is open to both beginners and more experienced sailors alike at the cost of £1 per session. There is no need to be a Club member to join in this activity and indeed many of the children who go on to sail other boats at the weekend, and later become members, have started off as Wednesday Sailors. more
