Wines sold in the Club
Wines sold in the Club are available by the 6 or 12 bottle case, depending on the variety. Case prices are 10% above the price paid by the Club to its suppliers plus VAT.
House Wines by the case will nearly always be available but Members should ask the Bar Manager about Club Wines by the case as stocks may be limited.
Wines sold in the Club
The Club’s Wine List is selected by our knowledgable Wine Sub Committee of Members with a particualar interest in the subject. They have all attended wind appreciation courses and aim to select wines of good value which are likely to appeal to the majority of Members.
‘House Wines’, are selected for value and quality to accompany our meals or just drink in the bar
‘Club Wines’ offer the opportunity for a higher quality offering for that special occasion and are a little more unusual.
From time to time, the Club’s wine merchants offer good prices on wines they think we might like and these will feature on the ‘Wine Of The Month’ selection.
Prices are competitive in our area at comparable quality. The mark-up on wine prices is limited to £7 making the higher quality wines more affordable.
