RLymYC Archives

 

The archives of the RLymYC were largely lost in the great flood of 1989 when much of Bath Road and both clubs were inundated.

An attempt was made to save them and they languished in a container outside the club until Waterfront Manager Jon Chittock and a dedicated member Judy Ruffell discovered their worth and saved as much as they could before the container was removed.

 

Judy's husband Anthony is an enthusiast and took on the project with verve!

 

He has begun scanning the documents in their original form where possible, but has had to resort to re-typing when the original was too poor to be recognised on screen.

 

Also included is a web version of the 1922 - 1972 Royal Lymington Yacht Club Golden Anniversary book.

 

This archive will be added to as time and research permit.
