Where in the world can you learn to sail for two hours a week throughout the summer for £1 a week? Including a cup of tea and a doughnut? Of course, the answer to that question is Lymington. The Royal Lymington Yacht Club, to be precise.

Every Wednesday afternoon from about the middle of April until about the end of September, any child between the ages of 8 and 18 may learn to sail or row a dinghy and enjoy the fun and thrills of being on the water and learning to handle a boat safely. There is a restriction on the numbers the club can cope with - read on for further details - but all those who join in are guaranteed a wonderful time.
