MEMBERSHIP TYPES & JOINING

Which Membership is Right for You?

Full Membership

For those already active on the water who know two members with over two years’ membership. Full Members enjoy access to all Club facilities and events, plus the right to vote and help shape the future of the Club.

Provisional Membership

Ideal if you’re new to the Club or new to boating. Provisional Members have the same access to all facilities and events as Full Members. It gives you 12 months to get involved, build friendships, and get active on the water—before being proposed for Full Membership.

Member Buddy System

Not yet connected with other members? Our buddy system introduces you to someone with similar interests who will help you get involved, meet others, and feel welcome from day one. This is available for both Full and Provisional Members.

Families are at the heart of our community: when two adults join, all children under 18 can join for free. If one adult joins, the first child under 18 is payable, and additional children go free.

Come and discover the fun, friendship, and adventure that make our Club so special!

JUNIOR MEMBERSHIP

We welcome applications for Junior Membership from children aged 8 to 17. Our Junior programmes are designed to inspire young people of all abilities, whether they are just starting out or already active on the water.

What Junior Members Enjoy

  • Diverse Activities: From adventurous sailing with Mariners, hands-on skills in RIB Club, to Junior Fleet training and racing, there’s something for every interest and ability.

  • Training & Skill Development: As an RYA Training Centre, the Club offers children opportunities from their first Stage 1 course through to advanced racing, with discounted coaching for Junior Members and additional savings for families with Club membership. Dinghy hire is also available for a small additional cost, subject to availability.

  • Onshore Fun: Activities aren’t just on the water—coaching, Santa’s Grotto, parties, and other social events help juniors make friends and enjoy the Club year-round.

Parents and Guardians

Parents wishing to get involved in their child’s activities can also become Club Members, regardless of boating experience. We can guide non-boating parents into courses if they wish to learn, ensuring the whole family can enjoy Club life.
